32 Weeks & First NST

Had another appointment yesterday (will take place every Wednesday now, except for one random week in February) where I had an ultrasound, non-stress test, and doctor’s visit. Much to my surprise, the ultrasound didn’t include a growth check because those are done once every 2-3 weeks rather than once every week. So, my fears were not really assuaged in regards to their growth.  That being said, I should “assume” a half pound a week which means that they’re both over four pounds. I’ve got about 3lbs of placenta and 4ish pounds of fluid in there, so all in all about 15lbs directly related to the babies.  And, I certainly feel it. With each day, things get just a little bit harder.

How far along? 32 weeks 4 days

Total weight gain/loss? Well, I stayed the same weight from last week which is good, provided that the babies are getting what they need. But, the weight has come on plenty now!

Maternity clothes? Yes. Except for yesterday when I refused.  I kinda felt like Jennifer Aniston when she’s close to having the baby in Friends and her belly is hanging out, except for the fact that it’s not summer, I’m not a super model, and yes, my clothes covered my skin. That being said, clothes are not really fitting.  There are some specialty “bigger bump” clothing, but that seems wasteful, so I’m trying to make it work with what I have.  Dresses are great, but it’s a bit cold, so I might be in sweat pants for the next 5 weeks. 🙂

Stretch marks? Yes.

Sleep? I finally understand the pillow thing.  I need about 60 pillows to get into a position where I feel semi-comfortable. Then, I have to move and the process starts all over. Needless to say, sleep is something that isn’t coming easily anymore!

Best moment this week? Getting to see the babies and still using the stairs.

Miss Anything? Freedom of movement!   <– This still holds true.  Things are getting very difficult. Simple things like going pee. Wiping your ass.

Movement? Yes! Our little babes are movin’ and groovin’, though they aren’t moving into any more optimal position for birthing.  They’re still in a ‘T’ in my belly – she’s completely breech with her feet in my vagina and he’s over the top of her completely transverse with his head on my left and bottom/feet on my right side.  My belly is very lopsided.

Food cravings? Nah, not really.  Trying to control my candy issues…I figure a Reese’s peanut butter cup is helping the babies not have peanut allergies, though?

Have you started to show yet? I don’t really feel like this question is relevant anymore. I keep wearing different things and asking Justin if he can tell from the front if I’m pregnant and he just thinks it’s hilarious.

Sexes? Still a boy & girl – I asked at the ultrasound yesterday to make sure we didn’t miss anything.

Labor Signs? Contractions. But, the NST went well and didn’t show anything concerning, so not much thank goodness!

Belly Button in or out? In.

Wedding rings on or off? Back on. I ended up getting them resized (I know, I know, I won’t even wear them for the beginning of the babies’ lives, but I just needed something to feel normal. Maybe I’ll regret it, but whatever.)

Happy or Moody most of the time? Happy! 🙂

Looking forward to? Continuing growing these babies and hopefully being able to keep up the [revised] normal pace for the remainder of my pregnancy. One flight of stairs is a bit challenging, but I’m trying to continue activity.

What I’m worried about this week: Oh, everything. Mainly their growth and maturation!

2/26 is D-Day if it doesn’t happen sooner, so we’ve got about 39 days left.
