Well, it’s a wonderful Sunday here in our household. We spent yesterday at the pool with our friends and their kids. That was quite fun. Last night, we went to STL to celebrate J’s grandma’s 96th birthday. We got to see his grandma, dad, step-mom, sister, and brother-in-law. Today, we went to a different pool with a different family and then aggressively grocery shopped at several different stores.
**It sounds like we’re kinda pool whores since we don’t have one. I’ll get to it later.**
As I’ve mentioned, I’ve always had the ability to anticipate some events before they happen. That being said, it doesn’t seem like a focused talent….
We’ve been toying around with the idea of buying a new home. IF we are able to expand our family, we would like more room. As you’ve been following here, the expanding the family thing is a work in progress, so we shall see. We currently have three bedrooms; ours, J’s office, and a guest room. If we were able to expand our family, we would lose our guest room which I would be opposed to if I could help it. That being said, it would be fairly asinine if we purchase a new home (increasing our mortgage payment) while outlaying a significant amount of cash for IVF with no guarantee of it working. I certainly don’t want to get into a bigger house with more rooms to clean and cry in if it’s just the two of us.
So, we are looking into buying a lot in a place where we might build in the future. This way, we don’t have to commit to a home, but can buy in a place where we know we will want to build in the future. It’s too bad I can’t just fast forward to different time intervals for just quick glances. I don’t need to know everything, nor do I need to know how I got there, but it would be nice to be able to plan. If we buy a lot, we can get access to a pool, too. 😉
In news of what’s going on with my body, I’m on my third period-ish thing of the month, so that’s great. I go tomorrow for an appointment to check everything out and make sure we can plan on an egg retrieval in the next couple weeks. I feel fairly positive this month which is more than I can say for last month.
